Snowy Morning in Reception
Reception had a fantastic time exploring the snow, frost and ice this morning!
Lifeguard Visit
We had a lifeguard come and visit Early Years today. She was very impressed with how much all of the children knew about ways to keep safe near water! We even put her lifeguarding skills to the test and saw if she could spot who needed help!
Brookmans Buddies Christmas Crafts
Reception loved seeing their Brookmans Buddies today and beginning to make some Christmas Crafts together. They made tree decorations and Christmas cards that we will give out on our trip to the village!
Doctor Visit
It was lovely to welcome Oliver's mummy to our classes this morning! She came to tell us all about her job as a doctor and the ways in which she helps people. The children were eager to share all of their stories about their trips to the doctors. Dr Johnson even let us use her stethoscope and oximeter!
Midwife Visit
Today we had a visit from a real-life midwife! She came to share information with us about how midwives help to look after babies in the hospital. EYFS loved talking all about babies and having a go at looking after them (pretend ones..!)
Firefighter Visit
We were so lucky to have the firefighters visiting our school this morning. They showed us how they get ready and prepared to go and help people, and different ways to stay safe. We also got to go inside their fire truck and climb inside! The siren was very noisy!
Police Visit
Today Sam and Jo, our local PCSO's came to visit! They told us all the different ways police officers help the community and keep us safe. Then we got go in their police car, sitting in the driving seat and as a passenger. It was great fun!
Diwali
This morning Reception learnt all about the celebration of Diwali. Mrs Patel kindly came in to speak to all the children about the story of Diwali. She shared lots of pictures of her family celebrating and the children all had so many questions for her! There was also lots of dressing up in traditional Hindi clothers, and making Diva lamps and Rangoli patterns too!
