On behalf of the whole school community I would like to welcome you to Brookmans Park Primary School.

We are in the process of re-developing our website, but you will still be able to find much of our key information by navigating your way around this site. Please bear with us whilst we try and create a site which is informative, useful and user friendly. In the meantime, if there is anything that you are unable to find on here please contact our school office, who will be happy to help.

Brookmans Park is a successful school which is highly regarded within the community. We aim to provide pupils with the best possible start in their education by providing a happy, safe and caring place to learn. We are all proud to be involved in the life of the school and together we aim to give children the best possible start in their education.

Whilst we are obviously focussed on developing the academic potential of our pupils, as our aims on the following pages indicate, we are also concerned with giving children the skills needed in their first steps to becoming life long learners.

If you would like to learn more about our school please telephone for an appointment. We would be pleased to show you around and answer any questions that you may have. Our website also contains a full list of policies and an information booklet for parents.

We very much look forward to meeting you.

Yours sincerely

Aileen Davies

Headteacher

BP Does Comic Relief

Today the school was awash with people adorning red noses, red clothes, red hair and quite a few red wigs! It was, of course, all in aid of Comic Relief. Our school council had been selling red noses throughout the week to raise money and on the day we had best dressed prizes awarded in our celebration assembly. PTA Maintenance Weekend

Calling all parents, teachers, family, friends and children! We need your help to brighten up the school! Click the link for full details.

Congratulations to Luke Kaeo in Topaz Class for a fantastic achievement last weekend.

Please read his report below:

On Sunday I went to a horse jumping show where I competed against other riders. In the 11 and under I had to jump 90cm on my pony Show Me Again and got double clear on my pony (that means that I didn’t knock down any of the jumps in my round). For going double clear I was awarded a red rosette. In the 128 and 138 handicap (this is based on the height of the pony) part one I had to jump another double clear to qualify for the finals, only myself and another boy went clear to qualify for the final. We then had to compete against each other, he went the wrong way which gave me a good chance of winning. On my round I managed another double clear to win the event, what I didn’t know at the time was that I was up against some 14 year olds on much bigger ponies than I was! As I was riding a famous trainer’s pony I was always confident that I could do well, and I did! I came home with a trophy, which I can keep, and £40. Next weekend I will be competing in another competition to hopefully qualify for the 11 and under Pony of the Year Show.
